News in Summary

In the inhospitable conditions of rain, hail and snow we played Bolehills A  on Tuesday afternoon at Graves Park. Our team enjoyed the challenge. Special congratulations to Stuart Wilson and John Turner who won their games.

On 26th April evening it was the turn of the Sheffield and Hallamshire teams against Wadsley House at the smallish and quirky green of Hallam Prop. Wadsley House proved to be too strong but well done to Chris Jowle and Martin Westley who won their game.

The Tideswell friendly is next Saturday (6th May) at Hallam Grange starting at 2.00pm. Thanks for signing up already although there are a few places left. We have 11 players but there is room for 16 players.

A reminder - If a wood from your match is heading towards another head and a collision with a wood or the jack in the head, looks likely then, if possible, the running wood should be stopped and returned to be bowled again. You do not lift the static wood or static jack. The rule is ---- stop the running wood.

The Diary of Fixtures will be up in the Pavilion shortly and available to view here.
